ForFarmers is a Total Feed Solutions business. In that we operate with a field based sales force who go to farm advising on the feeding and management of our customer and prospects ruminant livestock operations. We will now build a new Agri-Desk Sales Team that neatly complements, and works with that active sales force, that delivers sales growth through commercial focus on key product areas. The Agri-Desk team will be sales focused, commercially driven, and work in partnership with the field based team.
The Agri-Desk sales team is set-up to work over the phones in a “tele-sales” capacity and to work closely with the field sales force to drive sales of all non-compound products.
Each Agri-Desk sales specialist is linked to a sales team and responsible for the selling primarily palletised products as well as the combination of straights, blends, seeds, additives, fertilizer and calf milk replacer as well as other ForFarmers compound products for all species.
The aim of the Agri-Desk sales specialist and the field sales force is to jointly develop the business in their assigned team area. Working collaborative using C4C to identify range sell opportunities.
Agri-Desk sales specialist finds leads by establishing customer needs over the phone and follows up on leads generated by the field sales force for other category products. They are responsible for cross-selling more products into customers who currently already take compound feed from ForFarmers.
Purpose of the Job
- Selling on the telephone, leading on our palletised products and then supplemented by our total product range
- Working closely with field based account managers to develop our business and drive growth in cross-selling
- In conjunction with the Product Managers, drive sales campaigns to generate leads for the field sales force
- Advise farmers on the right product selection of straights, blends, moist/liquid feeds, minerals, forage/seed and calf milk replacer
- Follow-up on leads for the range of Palletised, Liquid, CirQlar and other Total Feed category products generated by the field sales force
Key Accountabilities
- Sales volumes and sales margin contribution for palletised and total feed product ranges
- Increase number of products and sales margin contribution by account.
- Lead generation for sales force – opportunity to deliver nutritional advice on farm.
- Following up on leads from the sales force
- Implement and execute the sales campaigns as led by Agri-Desk Sales Manager
- Identifying new business opportunities and working with product managers on how to capture
- 100% logging on C4C of all customer interactions.
Qualifications
- High motivation for sales
- Higher Education level preferred (Degree, BTEC )
- Minimum 2 years work experience within sales and preferably animal feed sales.
- Communication skills
- Having a “go to market” attitude
- Proactive / results driven
- Sales and Closing skills
- Customer focus
- Computer literate – CRM experience essential.#
