We are seeking an AI Product Manager to join our AI & Machine Learning team. In this crucial role, you will drive the effective use and rollout of Data Science and AI initiatives across the organisation.

The role

• Identify and describe opportunities for AI & Data Science across Funding Circle: Combine your technical expertise with business acumen to identify and evaluate opportunities for AI and Data Science projects, translating complex business problems into actionable AI-driven solutions.
• Become a GenAI advocate and expert: Help Funding Circle navigate the complex space of GenAI. Drive communication and culture to increase your colleagues' understanding of the opportunities of GenAI when used responsibly.
• Coordinate Data Science and AI initiatives. Act as the primary liaison between our technical experts and various stakeholders across the organisation. Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to define project requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps, prioritising features and enhancements based on business impact and technical feasibility.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in AI and data science to help inform strategic decision-making.
  
  

What we’re looking for

This role is perfect for an analytical thinker passionate about AI and Data Science who can bridge the gap between technical concepts and practical applications, without needing to be a hands-on coder.

• Curiosity about AI and GenAI and the willingness to understand how they can drive business value. Ability to think strategically and translate complex technical concepts into business value.
• Planning and delivery experience, and an understanding of the key steps and common challenges of Data Science projects from R&D to production. The ability to ensure Data Science projects are delivered to completion and on time.
• Understanding of technical aspects of Data Science and AI. Past experience as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer, Software Engineer or another hands-on technical role is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Willingness to become an outspoken champion of AI, and drive communities across the organisation.
• Ability to mentor engineers and data scientists and promote the development of their product and business acumen.
