The role

As an Aircraft Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Assisting in the ground movement of aircrafts.

Day-to-day, you’ll undertake scheduled and corrective maintenance of the LAFT Aircraft fleet.inc Aircraft Handling, as well as:

• Pre-use checks and Scheduled Maintenance of Company owned Ground Support Equipment, this will inc complete “all” documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedures
• General duties as required, including, driving, stores duties, housekeeping etc., and other responsibilities as allocated by Management.
• Provide Technical Support to other LAFT sites as required.
• Complete all aircraft and equipment maintenance documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedures.
• Provide technical support to other LAFT sites as required, as well as being available for longer term detachments if required in support of Camps at Easter and Summer.
  
  
  

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Aldergrove.

Essential experience of the Aircraft Technician:

• Experience of working within a military or civilian Pt145 environment.
• Experience of handling aircraft in military or civilian Pt145 environment.
• Military or Civil Aircraft engineering experience
  
  
  

Qualifications for the Aircraft Technician:

• Recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, or NVQ level 3 or equivalent
• Driving Licence.
  
  
  

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
