Description

About us:

Linklaters is a multi-national commercial law firm, with 31 offices in 21 countries worldwide.

We have been named as one of The Times' Top 50 Employers for Women, recognised by Stonewall as a top employer for LGBTQ+ inclusion, and by the Social Mobility Employer Index as a top employer for advancing social mobility.

We recognise that one size does not fit all. Our goal is to embed flexibility across our firm by giving everyone the opportunity to work in an agile way, whether as a regular pattern or on an ad hoc basis, and we will be happy to discuss this further.

We love hearing from anyone who is enthusiastic about changing the legal industry. Not sure you meet all qualifications? Let us decide! Research shows that women and members of other under-represented groups tend to not apply to jobs when they think they may not meet every qualification, when, in fact, they often do! At Linklaters, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourage you to apply.

Your role:

This is a dynamic and varied role in a supportive, collaborative and friendly global team. You will be part of the firm's Legal & Risk function which has around 100 team members across our global network.

Key dimensions of the role will include:

  • Monitoring all queries sent via email (or otherwise) to the Regulatory Compliance team and responding to such queries;
  • Reviewing and providing advice to the practice on client engagement terms, third party advisers terms, our Terms of Business and non-disclosure agreements;
  • Providing support to the practice and human resources teams with outgoing and incoming secondment agreements;
  • Handling requests for insider lists;
  • Updating the firm's risk incident register;
  • Assisting the Legal & Risk Warsaw Team with queries they have concerning audit enquiries, escalating any complex issues that may arise;
  • Responding to Regulatory Compliance-related questions for pitches and RFPs; and
  • Conducting preliminary research on professional rules and regulations and document reviews in relation to investigations (or otherwise).

Your experience:

  • Key characteristics: strong analytical skills; systematic, well-organised and attentive to detail; hard-working and flexible with a "can do" attitude; team-oriented, able to cope under pressure, to prioritise efficiently and multitask; strong written and oral communications skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Practical experience: experience in a legal or financial environment is preferred. Regulatory compliance and/or risk management experience would be an advantage.
  • Office skills: computer literate (including competence in MS Excel) and able to learn new IT systems quickly.

This role is based at the Linklaters London office with a hybrid working model available.
