Job Title: Application Support Engineer (DevOps)
Contract: Permanent
Working Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (flexible working patterns available upon agreement with your manager)
Salary: Circa £58,000
Reporting to: Lead DevOps Engineer
Location: London Docklands (Hybrid).
Our permanent hybrid policy sees us all working at least four days across a fortnight in the office.
Our DevOps team provides specialist technical expertise to enable the development and operating of our business-critical applications.
As one of our Application Support Engineers, you’ll be working within a small team of skilled DevOps engineers working across a range of cloud-based technologies, including (but not limited to), Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, and Microsoft SharePoint Online.
As an Application Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting our critical business applications throughout the development lifecycle. Working as part of our DevOps team, you will ensure our applications are stable, optimised, and able to meet the demands of our operations.
Key Responsibilities And Skills
You will provide support for Azure Cloud base services and a range of applications, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, SharePoint Online, as well as our internal Case Handling System.
Using a customer focused approach, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of service for customers to enable you to effectively troubleshoot and problem solve.
You will need to have the ability to quickly address and resolve technical issues. Using your clear, concise communication skills to liaise with colleagues and third-party suppliers while explaining technical issues.
Work across development and production environments, independently, with colleagues and with third-party suppliers, to ensure robust application performance.
Monitoring our application support queue in Hornbill, conduct troubleshooting, and resolve issues within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
Work on technical solutions, identifying and implementing them to improve our customer experience. With your knowledge you will running PnP PowerShell scripts on different environments.

o be considered for this role, you’ll need to show us that you’ve got the skills and capabilities. You’ll have to meet the following minimum criteria
Minimum Criteria
- Experience in a development and operational environment using Microsoft tools (including SharePoint)
- Having demonstrable experience of working with Azure platform
- Some experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Team City and Octopus
- Working within Agile teams with Scrum and Kanban methodologies
- Working with third party providers to achieve value for money and business benefit
- Being able to effectively deploy and support .NET, Azure based applications
- Knowledge of web hosting, load balancing and networking
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and how to support it
- Power Platform and SharePoint Online
- Having good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and issues to a variety of colleagues
