About the Apprenticeship
We think our apprenticeship programme is one of the best in the UK, offering a wide range of learning and practical knowledge. We have a new opportunity for an Apprentice Joiner based in Sheffield, Chesterfield, Rotherham and the surrounding areas.
The apprenticeship is expected to last 24 months and you will be working towards achieving a Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery.
You will work 39 hours per week which will include off the job learning which is undertaken outside of day-to-day work duties and leads towards the achievement of the apprenticeship. Monday to Thursday 8am – 4:30pm, Friday 8am – 3:30pm.
Throughout your apprenticeship you will be assigned a mentor who will work closely with you to provide all the learning and development support you need to succeed.

We are looking for people who are enthusiastic and committed, with good practical skills and an interest in their chosen trade. It’s important you enjoy working as part of a team, have a ‘can do’ attitude and good communication skills along with a desire to learn. You will also be genuinely passionate about providing a great service to our customers.
To succeed in this position, you will need a positive attitude and be keen to make a significant commitment to your own personal development and career.
We are looking for apprentices who will stay with us, and progress through the company supporting our growth whilst building your own individual career success.
The salary is dependent on your age, and is above Government recommendations for National Minimum Wage and Living Wage:
- Under 18: £15,404 per annum for Year 1
- 18-20: £17,787 per annum for Year 1
- Under 21: £20,470 per annum for Year 2
- 21 & Over: £25,012 per annum for Years 1-2
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 4 GCSE or above Maths and English (or equivalent functional skills) or the ability to complete these with support by the end of the apprenticeship.
- For those that are part qualified, your contract duration will be amended to accommodate when your apprenticeship ends.

This position will require a basic DBS check which will be paid for by The Guinness Partnership.
