Apprentice Teaching Assistant to support learners and help create meaningful learning experiences.
About The Role
As an Apprentice Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of teachers to:
- Support learners in all aspects of teaching and learning, enhancing their educational experience.
- Assist learners with individual needs, working one-to-one, within a classroom, or in small groups.
- Develop expertise in specialisms such as English, Maths, ICT, or Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Support learners whose first language isn’t English, if you are bilingual.
This role will provide valuable experience in an adult learning environment, preparing you for a fulfilling career in education.

Essential Requirements
- English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 (or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards them.
- A proactive attitude towards training and personal development.
- Flexibility to meet the demands of the service.
- The ability to travel across the borough as needed.
An apprenticeship role combines gaining skills and experience on the job with gaining the underpinning knowledge through bespoke training.
