What you’ll do:
We’re looking for a skilled 18th Edition Electrician to join our expanding team delivering smart electrical solutions across domestic, commercial, and light industrial sites. You’ll be hands-on with EV charge point installations, Solar PV AC works, and reactive maintenance, helping us drive the UK’s renewable energy transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission EV charge points in domestic and commercial settings
- Carry out AC electrical works related to Solar PV (inverters, mains distribution, system integration)
- Conduct periodic inspections, testing, and certification (EICs, EICRs, Minor Works)
- Perform diagnostics, fault finding, and reactive maintenance
- Ensure compliance with current IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and NICEIC standards
- Use electronic systems (NIC App, tablet) to complete and upload job documentation
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and team members to ensure smooth project delivery
- Conduct site audits and identify/correct poor practice, supporting consistent high standards
What we’re looking for:
- Fully qualified electrician with 18th Edition BS7671 certification
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing)
- Valid ECS Gold Card (Approved Electrician level)
- Full UK driving licence
- 5+ years’ experience across domestic and commercial installations
- Good communication skills and confident customer-facing experience
- Strong IT skills for commissioning and reporting apps
Desirable skills:
- City & Guilds 2919-01 (EV Charging Equipment Installation)
- Experience with EV charger brands like Alfen, Autel, Alpitronic
- Solar PV accreditation or MCS-related knowledge
- Experience with battery storage and smart energy systems
