Assessment Operations Associate (Fixed Term Contract)

We are recruiting for 3 x full time, fixed term positions, and 1 x part time, fixed term position as below:

  • 1 x full time, fixed term until 30 June 2025
  • 1 x full time, fixed term until 29 August 2025
  • 1 x full time, fixed term until 31 August 2025
  • 1 x part time (30 hours/week) , fixed term until 19 October 2025


Salary: £26,367 per annum (pro rata for part time role)

Location: IB (International Baccalaureate®) Global Centre, Cardiff

Hybrid working opportunity (working from the office at least once per week)

About The Job

The Assessment Operations team is within the Education Office, and the Assessment Operations Analyst is responsible for assessment activities in the Assessment Operations department. The post holder will be responsible for operational activities aligned to the assessment calendar by contributing to the successful delivery of the examination sessions across multiple programmes and languages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configuration of examination session data to operational, regulatory and contractual deadlines.
  • Monitoring progress of session activities to ensure on time delivery of results.
  • Collate and analyse assessment related data.
  • Respond to queries and provide operational and technical support to schools and examiners.
  • Produce and edit a variety of assessment related material to provide feedback and guidance to schools and examiners.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business as usual processes and post examination session analysis.
  • Contribute to post results issue activities such as transcript processing, legalization, certification or enquiries upon results.


About You

  • A degree or equivalent and/or relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Vitality to implement change, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work in smarter more focused ways.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate well across all levels of an organization, with the ability to build and foster working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evidence of communicating effectively with stakeholders on complex, technical and sensitive matters.
  • Delivery of quality outcomes within defined deadlines.
  • Ability to work in French or Spanish is desirable but not essential.

  • Occasional weekend working is essential during the year.

  • Please note that in September 2025 our Cardiff Office will relocate to Fusion Point One, Dumballs Road, Cardiff, CF10 5BF. The building is a 5-minute walk from Cardiff Central Station and a 10-minute walk to the city centre. Our new offices will have 60 parking spaces available which will be reservable online.
