We are looking for an
Asset Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our water network
The role can be based out of our Derby, Coventry or Shelton office.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We are looking for an Asset Engineer to oversee our booster station asset class and support our reservoir enabling programme.
Alongside our operational colleagues, you’ll be responsible for identifying and assessing risks on our treated water pumping stations and promoting and sponsoring capital investment to mitigate these risks. In addition, with the support of our Senior Asset Engineers and Asset Managers, you’ll help develop and promote solutions to take our DSR’s out of supply whilst maintaining levels of service to our customers.
The role will require a mixture of short-term planning to address current operational issues as well as long term planning to manage the risk profile over time and ensure risks are documented, known, understood and acted upon to ensure they are mitigated to an acceptable level within agreed timescales. You’ll also co-ordinate activities across other departments.
Additionally, you’ll provide advice and support to the business regarding our booster stations and assist in the return of any APR data regarding this asset class.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in assessing pump capabilities and their performance within hydraulic systems. Experience in identifying and implementing interventions to enhance network performance in pumped systems is also desirable.
Effective communication skills are crucial for this role. You’ll also have strong influencing and negotiating skills are important to ensure the successful delivery of key activities by business units that are not directly controlled by the role holder.
Additionally, it is expected that you will have a knowledge and understanding on pumps, pump technology and the design of booster stations, ideally on a water network.
It would also be desirable if you have an engineering degree.
A full UK driving license and the ability to travel are essential requirements
