Job Description
The Asset Manager plays a critical role within the Engineering Directorate, focusing on the collection and audits of high-quality data and ensuring their alignment with project standards and the BIM Execution Plan and associated documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery and management of projects from technical design to construction stage to ensure compliance and delivered to project standards
- Responsible for implementing best practice and consistent processes across the project, this includes liaising with project stakeholders and the supply chain to ensure the correct standards are applied
- Responsible for quality processes and quality standards of all deliverables, including exchange information and conversion processes
- Utilise Bentley ALIM, iTwin, ProjectWise with OpenBuilding Designer, and or MicroStation
- Liaise with discipline leads to ensure optimized collection of data requirements, and assurance of labelling on site
- Lead the production of high-quality data collection for specific elements of railway station projects, ensuring integration with overall project information models
- Produce client information requirements at various RIBA stages as outline with the Client Asset Information Management System
- Ensure all information are submitted, meet the project requirements set out, and Ensure systems are in place for clash avoidance, internal model audits before submission
- Support and liaise with the wider project joint venture team in the implementation of deliverables adhering to specified project standards and to facilitate issue resolution
- Participate in quality assurance checks of to ensure they meet the project's accuracy, detail, and the employers information requirements
- Assist in monitoring compliance with the BEP and the supporting project standards, contributing to regular reports on the deliverable status
- Work closely with other disciplines to ensure the data requirements are integrated and coordinated efficiently, attending regular coordination meetings as necessary
- Provide technical support and guidance to project team members on BIM/IM-related issues
Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
- Asset Manager with at least a minimum of 3 years’ experience in major infrastructure/transportation projects.
- Asset Lifecycle Information Management (ALIM) collects, manages, and distributes documentation / information to and from client.
- Experience of working in an engineering production environment, with a railway/stations/, transportation or construction background.
- Experience of delivering projects to UK BIM Standards including BS1192 and ISO 19650.
- Proficient in using Bentley software including ProjectWise, ALIM, OpenBuilding Designer and Microstation.
- Demonstrated experience in leading the technical development to from conceptual design through to detailed construction models.
- Experience in working within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the cohesive development of integrated project deliverables.
- Good knowledge of UK design standards, such as Network Rail, HS2 and TfL.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and workflows, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and improvements.
- Skill in developing asset management frameworks and strategies that drive performance and efficiency.
- Analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong project management skills, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
