The role

If so, United Utilities (UU) has an exciting opportunity for you to join our Commissioning and Integration team in a pivotal role that will help ensure the successful realisation of our strategic goals in the North West of England.

As Asset Registration and Deregistration (ARDR) Data Specialist, you will play a critical role in accurately registering, maintaining, and managing information about our infrastructure assets. You will ensure that assets are compliant with regulatory standards and facilitate the efficient management of these assets throughout their lifecycle. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills, and a solid understanding of asset management principles. You will ensure that assets are registered, deregistered, and configured according to our Asset Data Hierarchy (ADH) requirements, making sure that our asset base remains current and accurate through continuous housekeeping efforts.

In-person site attendance in Lingley Mere, Warrington is required three days per week to promote the benefits of face-to-face collaboration, alongside some travel to other sites in the North West and flexible hours to support work-life balance. Initially, you may be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team, and your role.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the registration, deregistration, and updates of ARDR data in line with ATO and project handover requirements
  • Validate ADH codes during project progression to ensure correct tagging and compliance with Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Conduct field surveys and inspections, ensuring the accurate entry of data into UU’s bulk ARDR/SAP systems
  • Ensure all asset registrations adhere to industry standards and regulatory frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, performing regular audits to maintain data integrity and enhance internal processes

Skills & Experience

To be successful with your application, you’ll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:

  • Relevant engineering qualification (e.g. degree/HNC/HND) or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data and generate meaningful insights
  • Previous experience in technical writing within a project environment, related engineering field or highly-regulated industry
  • Demonstrable stakeholder communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
  • Hold a current Full UK driving licence
