Our Opportunity
Integrated Airspace-protection Systems (IAS) operates primarily within the defence market delivering equipment & services, but also has a presence in the space market building satellite propulsion system and are looking an Assistant Accountant t to join the Finance team.
As the Assistant Accountant, you will be a key member of the Finance Team supporting them in their day to day responsibilities such as month end, management accounts, preparing monthly journals, updating TM1, raising invoices, chasing debtors and balance sheet account reconciliations and some project accounting work where appropriate.
You will also assist in the preparation of monthly review meetings with key stakeholders.
About you:-
You will have a strong interest to embark on a career in Finance and be looking for an opportunity to springboard your career. You ideally should be studying towards related finance qualification, AAT, CIMA or ACCA (or equivalent).
Whilst formal finance qualification is not required (we’ll support you with that), it would be an advantage or an A Level in Maths or a Finance related subject. An appetite to learn and to grow your skill-set, with the support of your team, is absolutely critical. You must be highly proficient in MS Excel with proven relevant experience in a financial/accounting/manufacturing environment.
Along with being a team player and key contributor / collaborator within your function. As for the rest, we’ll back you on your journey to develop an amazing career and life long qualifications.
A good practical/working understanding of ERP systems (ideally Oracle), TM1 experience, Magnitude would be an advantage.
