We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Management Accountant (Payroll) to join our management accounting team at Cygnet. You will be working hybrid, between home and our new office in Kings Hill, West Malling.

Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Payroll & Pensions Accountant, this role will support in the preparation, production and posting of all payroll cost journals and FTE figures for the group. There will also be an equally significant involvement in supporting the preparation and reconciliation of all payroll control accounts, achieving this will require working heavily with other finance departments.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and posting of all payroll cost and recharge journals for the group, in line with the monthly accounts deadlines
- Support the preparation and posting of all FTE data for the group
- Support the preparation and posting of all payroll accrual journals for the group, in line with the monthly accounts deadlines
- Support the preparation and reconciliation of all payroll related balance sheet control accounts
- Collaborate with other departments such as management accounts, commercial finance and payroll to facilitate achieving the above
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required
Role Requirements
- Would suit those looking to or currently working towards a recognised accounting qualification e.g. AAT or equivalent.
- Good understanding of key accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team
