Role: Assistant Project Control Engineer
This role sits within our Upstream business
This is a fixed term maternity cover for 12 months

Supporting effective Project Control delivery through proactive cost and progress monitoring and management of Risks & Opportunities registers
Accountabilities
- Support Project Control Team Lead with:
-Monitoring spend profile versus approved control budget (AFEs)
-Re-forecast costs with scope changes
-Monitor progression various work streams
-Re-plan workstreams with scope changes
- Prepare appropriate work programmes and budgets
- Co-ordinate appropriate departmental budget through robust cost control
- Ensure that the Upstream Management Team is regularly kept appraised of operational status
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors with respect to managing their budgets, change management & cost forecasts
- Liaise with Finance Manager on updating Corporate Risk and Opportunity Register
- Co-ordinate regularinput into Functional Risk and Opportunity Register
- Promote effective communication between projectteams, operations team and internal support functions
- Tracks and reports all Upstream manhour information in delivery of the asset work programme (including T1 contractors) for health and safety statistic reporting

Qualifications
- Project Controls and/or Project Management Qualification
- Degree Level Education
Skills& Competencies
- Excellent MS Excel skills
- 3-5 Years Oil & Gas experience in project controls
- Experience H&SRisk Assessment
- Experience in planning for and monitoring small projects
- Highly motivatedwith excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of practical experience with Microsoft Office and Project. P6 experience preferred.
