Assistant Team Leader

The primary objective of the role is to collaborate with the Team Leader to support the ongoing development and performance of Paralegals and Apprentices within a subteam, while also participating in the fee-earning work carried out by the team.

What You'll Do:

• Manage and develop a team of Apprentices and Paralegals, providing coaching, feedback, career check-ins, and contributing to individual and team development plans.
• Oversee client instructions, allocate resources, perform quality assurance checks, and manage larger, more complex projects.
• Identify and promote new business opportunities, support business development strategies, and contribute to process and initiative improvements within the subteam and wider team.
• Undertake fee-earning work within the subteam, with training provided if no prior experience.
• Deputise for the Team Leader and/or Senior Manager, ensuring effective team operations in their absence.

Who We're Looking For:

• Strong technical knowledge, ideally within finance restructuring or corporate practice areas, though other fee-earning experience in any area of law in which AG specialises will also be considered.
• Previous experience working in a legal environment as a Paralegal or in a similar role.
• Supervisory experience and familiarity with defining work processes and a "best practice" approach (desirable but not essential).
