We are looking for an Associate – Ground Engineer to join our expanding team, directing the development and delivery of ground engineering design solutions across multiple sectors.
The ideal candidate will be a technical specialist in ground engineering, capable of managing projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring best practices in design and risk assessment.
Key Deliverables
- Ground Engineering Design & Implementation – Develop and oversee foundation design, earthworks, ground improvement, and slope stability analysis.
- Act as a technical authority, reviewing designs and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation – Conduct geotechnical risk assessments, ensuring safety and efficiency in project execution.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with engineers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to embed ground engineering solutions into large-scale projects.
- Innovation & Best Practices – Drive advancements in ground modelling, digital tools, and sustainable engineering design.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- Chartered status with ICE, GeolSoc, or equivalent (or working towards it).
- Strong experience in ground engineering design, site investigation, and risk assessment.
- Expertise in infrastructure sectors such as power, rail, highways, or life sciences.
- Strong guidance and project management skills, with experience in mentoring teams.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel for site visits.
