Associate- Infrastructure & Energy

Addleshaw Goddard is seeking a Managing Associate with 4-8 years PQE to join our expanding Infrastructure and Energy (IE) team in Leeds. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to advise both public and private sector clients on a diverse range of energy and transport projects. You will be instrumental in managing commercial contracts related to energy infrastructure and transport, providing advice across the spectrum of issues within these sectors for companies, developers, PE funds, and financial institutions.

Our IE practice is celebrated for its comprehensive expertise and has been consistently ranked top tier. We support clients from the inception through the lifetime of their projects in various markets including waste, renewable energy, transport, and healthcare, both in the UK and internationally. Our work encompasses pathfinder projects like Gas to the West, VW's alliance with Ford, and Nissan's microgrid project, covering renewables, hydrogen, CCUS, and more. In transport, we're known for our technical expertise on major national and international projects, advising on all passenger services contracts, HS2, and the Azuma fleet of trains.

The role involves drafting and negotiating commercial documents, managing transactions, and supervising junior colleagues. You will also play a key role in business development and junior talent development within the team. Ideal candidates will have experience in the Infrastructure, Energy, and Transport sectors, with a corporate background being a plus.
