What You'll Do:

The role requires teamwork, enthusiasm, and a desire to build strong technical expertise. The work will involve the following (working as part of a supportive, multi-lawyer team):

• Advising bidders on their tenders, including resolving issues that arise during the course of the process

• Working with the disputes team to advise on the merits of procurement claims, from a claimant, defendant and interested party perspective

• Supporting the disputes team in the preparation of claims / defences

• Running the procurement workstreams on major projects being led by colleagues specialising in IT, outsourcing, transport, utilities, construction, real estate and defence

• Supporting and leading business development initiatives (as appropriate to levels of qualification and interest) including client publications, articles and speaking engagements (including delivering both internal and external procurement training)

Who We're Looking For:

• Qualified Lawyer; in the region of 1 to 4 years + post-qualifying experience and ideally ready to grow into a specialist role as part of our wider commercial team. For us it's about getting the right people to join our team.

• Recent experience and / or strong interest in public and / or utilities procurement law gained at a regional, national or international firm
