Automation Test Lead - £75,000 - Hybrid (3 days in Office) - Leicester
Are you a seasoned Automation Test Engineer with a passion for driving quality through smart automation strategies? Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead and support our test automation efforts using modern tools and practices. If you're looking for an opportunity to make a real impact across teams and contribute to a wider automation strategy, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rapidly adapt to current ways of working and play a key role in shaping the broader automation strategy.
- Collaborate with vendor test resources and perform technical analysis on ongoing projects.
- Work closely with key stakeholders and Quality Engineers to overcome automation-related technical challenges.
- Partner with the QE Automation Manager to identify manual testing pain points and recommend viable automation solutions.
- Assess, recommend, and implement the right tools and technologies aligned with project and organizational goals.
- Continuously improve and optimize test automation suites to ensure speed, scalability, and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on scripting experience with Groovy, Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar.
- Proven experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or equivalent.
- Skilled in using version control systems like Git.
- In-depth understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Experience with lowcode no code systems (desirable)
- Experience with Katalon studios (Desirable)
