Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures on the AWS platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and technical requirements, translating them into effective cloud solutions.
- Guide the development team in best practices for cloud-based application design, ensuring adherence to AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and industry trends, driving innovation and continuous improvement in our cloud offerings.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of excellence and knowledge sharing.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale cloud applications, preferably on the AWS platform.
- Deep understanding of AWS services and familiarity with key concepts like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and patterns, and experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and serverless computing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex systems, identifying areas for optimisation and improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- Experience with containerisation technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes on AWS.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of data engineering and experience with AWS data services like Redshift, Glue, or Kinesis.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation on AWS, such as using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy
