We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time band 7 physiotherapist with experience in acute care for the elderly. This should include experience in assessing and treating patients with acute respiratory, neurological, spinal, orthopaedic, and other health conditions.
We are looking for a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist to work in our multi-disciplinary HSEP Therapy Services team. This post is supported by a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and Speech and Language Therapist. The team consists of physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and therapy assistants – across an inpatient setting. The ability to establish excellent working relationships with the wider MDT is critical to the success of this role.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates exceptional understanding of the complexity of treating elderly patients with multiple comorbidities. The role will require the successful applicant to be familiar with safeguarding issues and how they relate to the acute care of the elderly setting.
Experience supporting the development of junior staff is important, as well as skills in quality improvement, service evaluation and audit.
This role is critical to the team leadership structure, and we are interested in someone who demonstrates a warm and empathetic leadership style.
