About the role
We are looking for a backend Node.JS developer who has experience building backend services, APIs, data storage and integrations to join our in-house team of six developers. Our development team are responsible for building our digital platform, submissions platform and data tools. Having recently rebuilt the front-end application in Next.JS, we are moving next to build a scalable data platform that will consolidate all our dataset and support new, modern data tools. For 33 years, Legal 500 has been analysing the capabilities of law firms across the world, with a comprehensive research programme revised and updated every year to bring the most up-to-date vision of the global legal market.
The ideal candidate
Required Technical Skills:
- Node.js and TypeScript (Zod)
- MySQL and MongoDB
- GraphQL
- REST API development and OpenAPI/Swagger
- Testing frameworks (Jest, Node Test)
Preferred Additional Skills:
- React / Next.Js
- Heroku deployment
- Cloudflare
What We're Looking For:
- Extensive professional backend development experience (ideally, more than 3 years)
- Experience working with highly relational datasets
Working arrangements:
We're looking for someone who is happy to work in a hybrid manner, our expectation is you can come to our office on Fleet Street (nearest stations are Farringdon, Chancery Lane, Temple & City Thameslink) one day per week.
