Are you a skilled and compassionate physiotherapist looking for flexible work in a fast paced, rewarding environment? We are currently seeking motivated and experienced bank inpatient physiotherapists to join our Inpatient therapy team at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals, providing cover for staff absences and supporting service demand.
The successful candidate is required to be able to demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. You should have proven experience of working in the following areas of orthopaedics, acute medicine and frailty, respiratory. neurology and emergency department.

- To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner whilst facilitating effective multidisciplinary care within relevant clinical areas. The areas are orthopaedics, neurology, acute medicine and frailty, respiratory and surgery ,and Emergency department.
- To work in an integrated therapy team including other physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians, speech and language therapists, therapy support workers and administration support.
- To provide an advanced standard of physiotherapy assessment and treatment to inpatients without direct supervision. Access to advice and support from a team lead is available as and when required. Clinical work is routinely evaluated.
- To work with patient’s families or carers to provide an advanced level of support, education and expectation of the outcome of the inpatient stay.
- To supervise, teach and appraise Band 5 physiotherapists and support workers.
- To participate in Continuing Professional Development, evidence – based audit and research projects that will enhance the service.
