Bank and Sales Ledger Clerk
Hinckley
An opportunity has arisen within the bank reconciliation and sales ledger department of the shared service centre. The role is focused on delivering bank reconciliations to all business units within required deadlines and the administration of sales ledger invoicing and receipting.
Reporting to the bank and sales team leader, the bank reconciliation and sales ledger clerk will be responsible for all aspects of the transactional processing/reconciliation of cashbooks and processing AR cash receipts and invoices.
Ideally, you will based in or around the Hinckley area as this is where our office base is.
What you will be doing:
- Download and upload bank statements.
- Reconcile and balance cashbooks
- Investigation of the discrepancies on the cashbook / balance sheet linked to AR,AP and GL ledgers and liaison with relevant team to rectify discrepancies.
- Deliver agreed customer service levels – including submission of the cashbooks to business unit finance team within the required deadlines.
- Month end reporting
- Supporting Bank reconciliation function with ad-hoc duties as requested by the team leader
- Month end reversing journals
- Raising and processing sales invoices ( internal & external) in accordance to the SLA deadlines
- Processing AR receipts in accordance to the SLA deadlines
- Creating authenticated receipts
- Investigating and resolving customer queries effectively and in a professional manner
- Requesting inter-company transfers
- Investigation of the discrepancies on Debtors linked to AR & GL ledgers
- Team inbox management
- Dealing with internal and external audit requests

- Strong time management and ability to meet recurring statutory and internal deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure
