- Lead the execution of Ascot’s business intelligence strategy, aligning initiatives with organisational goals.
- Design, implement, and oversee complex solutions, including advanced data models, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to BI Developers and Analysts, fostering professional growth and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify key business challenges and opportunities, developing data-driven strategies to address them.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data across all BI platforms and solutions.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in BI methodologies.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends and broader technologies, ensuring Ascot leverages the most effective tools and techniques.
- Working with the change team, help manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring they meet the company’s requirements.
- Deep experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful delivery.
- Extensive experience with the Microsoft BI stack, including Power BI, SQL Server, and Azure.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience mentoring BI teams.
- Deep understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
- Experience in the insurance industry, ideally with a strong knowledge of the London market.
- Agile and Scrum: Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Scrum methodologies, especially in a data context
- Advanced Analytics and Data Science: Exposure to machine learning models, predictive analytics, and other advanced data analysis techniques
- Strategic Vision: Ability to align BI initiatives with broader business goals and drive organisational change.
- Leadership: Proven ability to mentor a team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Technical Expertise: Deep technical knowledge across the Microsoft BI stack and related technologies.
- Communication: Strong ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Problem-solving: Expert problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver impactful solutions.
