Role Summary:
Due to the continuous growth of our business, Transmission Investment is looking to recruit a full time Bid Associate to join the team responsible for Transmission Investment’s successful entry into the large competitive onshore transmission project sector (known as “CATOs”). The CATO projects will be tendered via a structured procurement process, and it is expected that the Bid Associate would be a key member of the CATO bid team, supporting leadership in bid and consortium management activities.
This role may also support the broader origination function of Transmission Investment and get exposure to development, delivery and operations activities relating to our assets.
As a key member of the team, the individual needs to be astute, ambitious and driven. They will seek to contribute to the fast growth and success of the company, whilst ensuring that high bid project management standards are maintained.
The candidate needs to have a track record within infrastructure origination and bidding, infrastructure advisory or construction management ideally in the energy industry.
The role will be based in our head office in the City of London with only occasional travel within the UK necessary. Transmission Investment also has a flexible working policy.
The role will report to the Investment Director who is primarily responsible for the CATO projects.

Transmission Investment is developing a 700MW interconnector between Scotland and Northern Ireland, LirIC. As part of a joint venture on behalf of an investor, we are managing the construction and will manage operations of a synchronous compensator at Blackhillock, Scotland. We are also well positioned to take part in the competitive onshore transmission auctions (CATO) in which this role would play key part.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Undertake market analysis and research to support strategy, project origination and bidding activities
• Support the development of bidding plans, programmes and budgets for delivery of timely, accurate, compliant and competitive bids
• Support formal internal governance processes including preparation of papers and presentation materials and assisting the management and administration of key meetings
• Attend internal, partner and client meeting as required
• Collaborate with internal and partner cross-functional teams of highly experienced individuals to gather the necessary information required to produce high-quality deliverables for all CATO projects and other work as required
• Support bid consultant engagement and management processes and assist coordination various workstreams
• Coordinate the tender clarification process, including gathering information from various parts of the team, and developing clarifications and responses for submission
• Gather bid inputs and lead on drafting certain bid documents as required
• Research future CATO project pipelines to plan ahead all necessary bidding activities
• Support broader origination function, and development, delivery and operations teams as required

Education, Work Experience & Qualifications:
· Qualified to Degree level or equivalent preferred
· Minimum 3 years professional experience in supporting infrastructure origination and bidding, infrastructure advisory or construction management
· Experience of working with data and spreadsheet analysis tools
