What You’ll Do
We have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager Team Lead to join our UK Business, Pre-Sales Commercial team, where you will be responsible for manging a team to deliver a best-in-class full bid lifecycle tenders for existing and prospective UK customers.
In this role you will be supporting our Sales team engaging with customers at C-Suite level. You will also run the bid process, creating compelling tender documentation whilst creating a centre of excellence for bid management.
- Managing the full bid lifecycle for tenders ranging in contract value from £100k to £100m, ensuring best in class, high-quality submissions are made, which deliver successful outcomes for Vodafone Business UK
- Establish, own and maintain bid plans and timelines to ensure successful execution of bids and proposals that align with the agreed governance processes. Liaise with internal departments and own stakeholder management, inclusive of C-suite both internally and externally.
- Deliver content review meetings, run feedback gathering and subsequent value creation into bid strategy and proposal development
- Review and be accountable for proposal content, ensuring accuracy, clarity and alignment with customer goals.
- Demonstrate the ability and curiosity to translate Vodafone product and service into customer value through our bid collateral
- Strive for excellence in generation of compelling tender documentation that is consistent, accurate, and minimizes company risks, while integrating lessons learned and imbed a continuous learning environment
Who You Are
- Proven E2E Bid Management experience in both proposal and bid process for large complex organisations, with a solution and customer mindset.
- Demonstratable experience in pursuit management, value proposition development and proposal/presentation crafting, preferably in the telco/system integration or professional services sectors.
- Strategic mindset, able to consider customer, vertical and industry landscape and macro environmental factors throughout the course of tender and submission process.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, inflow, manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently under bid timeline pressures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to simplify complexity, able to operate comfortably within C-suite.
