The Role
As a Bid Writer, you will play a pivotal role in securing new business opportunities and maintaining existing contracts. You will be responsible for producing high-quality, persuasive bid proposals for local authority tenders and other funding avenues, ensuring Kisimul’s services continue to thrive.
What You’ll Do
- Bid Writing & Management: Research, draft, and develop tailored bid responses that effectively showcase our value proposition.
- Market & Sector Research: Monitor tender opportunities, keep up with industry trends, and analyse competitor offerings.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure bid submissions align with relevant legislation, policies, and contractual requirements.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather information and enhance our bid success rate.
- Contract Support & Risk Management: Identify risks and opportunities, supporting contract reviews and renewals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in bid writing and tender management, ideally within the social care sector.
- Strong understanding of social care services, particularly in relation to learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to create compelling and persuasive content.
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong research, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to bid management.
- Experience with local authority tenders and framework agreements.
- Knowledge of funding models, commissioning processes, and regulatory requirements within social care.
- APMP (Association for Proposal Management Professionals) certification or equivalent qualification.
- Strong commercial contract experience.
