We have an exciting opportunity to join our Wastewater Bioresources team as our Bioresources Apprentice.
This two-year apprenticeship provides you with the opportunity to complete a Level 4 Regulatory compliance qualification which is essential knowledge and understanding for this industry role.
Our Bioresources team are responsible for the safe transportation and recycling of our organic materials. We want to be a leading provider in bioresources services to deliver solutions for our customers, stakeholders, and environment. Were the first water company in the country to use all our sewage and sludge to produce gas and electricity.
Bioresources have transformed sewage sludge from being a waste product that needed a lot of energy process, into a fuel being used to produce green energy instead with a fertiliser recycled for crop production.
Within this role you will be responsible for sstrengthening the NWGrow brand among farmers, stakeholders, and regulators to secure continued acceptance of biosolids and sludge. Health and safety will be at the heart of everything you do as youll ensure team adherence to safety plans and legislation.
Compliance will form a key part of this role as youll regularly review scientific reports and databases This includes regulatory reporting as youll supply key data used for regulatory audits. Contractor monitoring will also form part of your role as youll monitor audits of recycling contractors, review of permits, and adherence to compliance protocols.
About You
If you have a keen interest in agriculture and enthusiasm for the environment, then we want to hear from you.
You will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will build relationships within your team and wider teams across wastewater.
You should be highly organised with good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your own workload and at times work under pressure.
We are looking for you to have a grade 4 or above in Maths & English GCSE and you have completed a Level 3 qualification such as BTec T Level or A Level.
