Based: Barn Elms Sports Centre
Salary: £29,000
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Work Arrangement: 40 hours per week

Role Overview
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will manage customer accounts and liaise with customers on all booking related matters, increase utilisation and income across all areas with a focus on off-peak and quiet times, and identify new revenue-based projects that will improve the service offering.
The Leisure Team are passionate about benefitting the local community through sports and leisure activities. We are experts in our service and pride ourselves on our customer experience and inclusivity through affordable or complementary programmes reaching those that need it the most. The leisure team want to enrich all lives within Wandsworth leading on the needs of the community, delivering programmes that reach out to local places and people, removing barriers and increasing access to activity.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all main block bookers and one-off events, dealing with enquiries over the phone, email and in person.
- Responsible for processing all booking requests in our internal software, sending confirmations and invoices to clients and following up on any overdue and outstanding invoices.
- Liaising with all customers professionally and within the accurate timeframes.
- Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained and all reasonable and possible requirements are met.
- Work with the Operations Manager and Area Manager to propose realistic and achievable budgets.
- Ensure income targets are met in line with the annual budgets.
- Keep utilisation records and highlight potential areas of growth.
- Liaise with partner organisations to help understand the latest industry trends and look to help implement programmes and activities at site.
- Identify under-performing areas and work with the Operations Manager to create an action plan to rectify ensuring that it doesn’t impact revenue targets.
- Responsible for outreach to local schools, clubs, leagues and organisations to increase usage across the facilities.
Skills And Experience
- Experience of working in the Leisure industry with knowledge of how a sports facility operates.
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Knowledge of IT software including Microsoft, Xero and XN Leisure is preferable.
- Experience of working within customer service
- Must have a passion to get the job done in an efficient manner
- Must be goal driven and motivated to hit targets
