Location: Plymouth

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

Closing date: 6th July 2025

We’re currently looking for a Broker Support Specialist to join Royal London’s Responsible Equity Release business in Plymouth.

As a Broker Support Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting brokers through the application process for later-life lending products and supporting the continuation of the application journey where needed. This is a non-customer-facing role that focuses on enabling brokers to deliver the best possible outcomes for their clients.

You’ll be the first point of contact for brokers, handling inbound queries via phone and email, and guiding them through the various stages of the equity release journey. From pre-application decisions and property assessments to liaising with internal teams and attending lender clinics, your work will ensure a smooth and efficient experience for our broker partners.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in residential mortgages, underwriting, or telephone-based BDM roles. You’ll need to be detail-oriented, solution-driven, and comfortable working in a regulated environment where continuous improvement and collaboration are key.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a business that’s helping people unlock the value in their homes to support their retirement goals.

About The Role

  • Supporting brokers throughout the application process for equity release products.
  • Handling inbound queries via phone and email, providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Assisting with pre-application decisions and property assessments.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and occasionally representing Royal London in lender clinics and meetings.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement by identifying trends and sharing insights.

About You

  • Experience in a regulated or financial services environment.
  • Background in residential mortgages, underwriting, or telephone-based BDM roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and a solution-driven mindset.
  • Ability to build relationships across multiple channels.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
