Business Acceptance Analyst

Join our Global Business Acceptance team and help us manage legal and regulatory risk across a world-class international law firm.

The Team

The Global Business Acceptance team manages the firm’s risk exposure and provides advice to the firm on issues relating to the selection and clearance of new clients and matters across the multiple jurisdictions in which the firm operates. The team advises on a variety of risk and compliance topics including: conflicts of interest, client confidentiality, due diligence required for our clients, sanctions and reputational and commercial risks the firm may need to think about in relation to any given client or matter. The team is part of the firm’s wider Legal Department and is truly global.

What You’ll Do

• Assess new client and matter risks, including conflicts, confidentiality, and sanctions
• Conduct and review client due diligence and verification
• Advise on regulatory, reputational, and commercial risks
• Collaborate with colleagues across jurisdictions
• Contribute to process improvements and risk projects

What We’re Looking For

• Be (or ready to become) familiar with professional bar rules and anti-money laundering & sanctions regulations applicable to the firm’s activities across a number of jurisdictions
• Previous experience in legal, legal risk/compliance
• Analytical thinker with excellent communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise
• International experience (e.g. working/liaising across multiple offices or in a business with a global presence) would be beneficial
• Degree in Law (or GDL conversion), or LPC/BVC would be beneficial but not essential
