Description
As a Business Analyst at DACB, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence and fostering continuous improvement initiatives across various business functions. Your role will involve identifying opportunities for streamlining processes, enhancing productivity, and implementing best practices to support the firm’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
The role holder will:
- Lead and facilitate business process improvement initiatives to optimize workflows, enhance efficiency, and drive operational excellence across different departments within DACB.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including partners, associates, and staff, to understand their needs, challenges, and pain points, and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes, systems, and tools to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for automation or enhancement.
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies, methodologies, and frameworks tailored to the specific needs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
- Design and document new processes, standard operating procedures, and workflows, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and leverage technology solutions, software applications, and tools that can streamline operations, enhance collaboration, and improve client service delivery.
- Monitor and measure key performance indicators to assess process effectiveness, track improvements, and report progress.
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to evaluate, select, and implement appropriate technology solutions that support business process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on process improvements, new tools, and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in legal operations and process improvement, bringing innovative ideas to the firm.
- Create Mandates and Business Cases to support new initiatives
- Travel, where essential, to other DAC Beachcroft offices to facilitate project progress
- Handle confidential information in line with the firm's data security protocols.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
The role holder will have:
- Proven experience in business process improvement, operational excellence, or similar roles, preferably within the legal industry or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of law firm operations, legal processes, and the unique challenges faced by legal professionals.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, and experience applying them to optimize workflows and drive efficiencies.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify root causes, analyse data, and propose practical solutions.
- Familiarity with legal technology, case management systems, document management systems, and other tools commonly used in law firms.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and execute multiple initiatives concurrently, ensuring timely completion and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proactive and self-motivated approach, with a passion for continuous improvement and a drive to achieve results.
- Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and complying with ethical standards.

- Act as liaison between the business and the delivery team

- Role is a hybrid position, with an expectation to be in the Bristol office 2 days week
