The role:

This person will undertake and apply an array of business analysis methodologies to existing operational processes and data sets, capturing problem statements and inefficiencies, and developing comprehensive business requirement outputs for consumption by the business and offshore developers which are primarily focussed around PowerApps and PowerBI. They will also assist with project deliverables by way of a testing function, user training and communicating deliveries.

What you'll be doing:

  • Review complex and detailed operational processes and data sets that run across multiple teams within the Division.
  • Using interviews, requirements workshops, and business process/data analysis techniques to collate problem statements, detailed requirements, data dependencies and recommendations to improve performance and service to SJP colleagues & Partners.
  • Produce appropriate documentation to ensure that projects deliver to the needs of the business in an efficient manner, including mapping of processes and data flows where appropriate.
  • Visualising and understanding problems to develop resolution options. Thinking them through from concept to implementation whilst challenging the business to fully understand their needs.
  • Internal and external stakeholder liaison, chairing and participating in meetings where required.
  • Overseeing and guiding offshore developers using Agile / SCRUM methodologies, documenting requirements and overseeing the development output quality to ensure it meets the requirements.
  • Stakeholder communication, training & business readiness activities for each delivery.
  • Early life support and defect management for each delivery.

Who we're looking for:

The ideal candidate will have experience of process, technical and operational Business Analysis, preferably within an FS environment. They will use an array of structured Business Analysis methodologies to undertake complex analysis and problem solve. They will have strong communication skills and be able to articulate complex feedback to different audiences. They will be comfortable using MS products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ideally have knowledge of PowerApps and Agile/SCRUM methodologies. They will have a proactive work ethos and be resilient and calm under pressure and when delivering unpopular feedback to Stakeholders. They will be able to work independently at fast pace and to deadlines.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous process, technical & operational business analysis experience, preferably within FS.
  • Effective and resilient communicator – able to confidently challenge stakeholders of all levels, and relay decisions or outcomes clearly, with supporting rationale.
  • Able to undertake complex analysis and problem solve using structured Business Analysis methodologies.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Able to work independently at fast pace and to deadlines.
  • Resolves problems independently – solution focussed.

Desirable Criteria

  • PowerApps knowledge.
  • Agile/SCRUM methodologies knowledge.
  • SJP business knowledge.
