AvantiGas is a leading supplier delivering clean and efficient LPG and energy solutions across England, Scotland and Wales. We offer a range of energy products and service solutions including off-grid LPG bulk gas, LPG Gas Bottles and Aerosol Propellant.

We serve business and residential customers from all sectors and walks of life, providing a professional and safe service via our network of multiple distribution centres, two in-land gas terminals and our UK-based emergency call centre that delivers maintenance, service and aftercare.

About the Role

Our ideal candidate is a passionate, self-motivated, and detail-oriented team player who is committed to the success of our customers and our business. You will be driven to grow and develop contracts with existing clients, as well as generating new business by identifying, implementing and executing new strategies.

You will be keen to extend your network - focusing around 80% of your time generating new business.

You'll be energised by a field based role - there's an expectation that you will engage with existing and potential customers in person in the following postcode areas: S, DN, WF, LS, HG, YO, HU, DL, TS, LN, DH, SR, NE (subject to adjustment). There will also be occasional requirement to attend meetings in the AvantiGas headquarters in Chesterfield, and infrequent national travel.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, explore and secure new business opportunities
• Achieve agreed targets, including but not limited to - volume, revenue, gross margin, gains, losses, GM2, RLPG, re-contracting, lead conversion and none gas revenue
• Timely pipeline management - prospecting, re-contracting and pricing
• Develop a trusted advisory relationship with existing accounts, customer stakeholders and internal partners
• Driving forward new products and strategies which could include developing original equipment manufacture (OEM) relationships
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts

You'll need

• Proven experience of success in technical B2B sales
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Tenacious and sales motivated
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and familiar with CRM functionality

• Salary £38,000 and achievable OTE of £40,000
