About The Role
We're looking for a highly accomplished Business Development Manager to drive growth within our Contact Centre Services and Business Process Outsourcing division. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of contact centre technology, customer contact strategies, and market opportunities. The ability to leverage an existing network and a strong reputation to sell complex, end-to-end outsourced contact centre solutions is critical.
As Business Development Manager, your primary focus will be to drive significant revenue and margin growth by developing and executing a robust sales program. This includes expanding our client portfolio, cultivating strong relationships with prospective clients, and proactively identifying new business and supplier opportunities.
A key responsibility will be to generate and develop new business opportunities through a comprehensive sales cycle. This will include utilising a broad network of industry contacts, introducing and closing new business opportunities. Whilst the primary goal will be to establish a robust BPO sales pipeline, leveraging G4S BPO's strengths in the Public Sector while strategically expanding into horizontal markets, including the Private Sector. This will encompass a range of service offerings such as Customer Service, Casework, Complaint Handling, Quality Assurance, and various back-office functions.
Success in this role requires strong partnerships across internal departments, including Service Delivery, Support & Enablement, Governance, Client Management, and Bid Management. You will work collaboratively with these teams to drive measurable growth results that benefit our organisation.
Other Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive annual new revenue growth targets, achieve and improve bottom line growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential clients of all sizes in the BPO market.
- Build and maintain relationships with key client decision-makers through consistent networking.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, starting from lead generation and demand generation.
- Ensure that Statement of Works (SOW) expectations are competitive in the market.
- Report on sales cycle performance and provide insights for course correction that are in sync with market trends.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities for existing clients and create tailored solutions to meet their evolving need.
- Have a strong network of contacts within the BPO industry to provide market intelligence and insights.
- Work in partnership with the Client Partnership team to target new BPO opportunities with existing clients through the upselling of services.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential Criteria:
- Must possess significant knowledge of Contact Centre Technology, Customer Contact Strategies, and Market Proposition.
- Proven experience in Business Development, specifically within the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector.
- Excellent reputation and networking contacts.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to sell end to end solutions, including outsourced Contact Centre solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working with various IT systems and adaptable to new technologies.
- Confident negotiator and ability to ‘close the deal’.
- Demonstrated proficiency in utilising sales tools, including Sales Navigator, Salesforce, and CRM software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
