We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team to play a crucial role in expanding Reason Digital’s impact. This role is vital in identifying opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, and winning projects that align with our mission. This is a highly collaborative role where your expertise in proposal writing, strategic thinking, and communication will drive growth while maintaining our commitment to social good.


What you'll be responsible for:

Proposal Writing & Business Development

  • Research, develop, and write persuasive and tailored proposals that align with client needs and our mission.
  • Full ownership of the sales process, collaborating with internal teams (strategy, design, and development) to craft solutions that showcase our expertise and fit client requirements.
  • Maintain and update a library of proposal content and resources to streamline the proposal development process.


Pitching & Presentations

  • Deliver engaging, polished, and client-focused pitches that clearly articulate our value proposition.
  • Lead or contribute to in-person, virtual, and written presentations to win projects.
  • Build rapport with key stakeholders to convey confidence, knowledge, and empathy during pitches.


Client Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with potential clients and partners to drive repeat business and referrals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client challenges, offering valuable insights, and ensuring an exceptional pre-sale experience.


Business Development Strategy

  • Identify new opportunities within the digital and nonprofit sectors, targeting organisations that align with our vision.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to define strategic goals and revenue targets, bringing challenge to gain consensus.
  • Stay informed of market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment between client expectations and project delivery capabilities.
  • Provide feedback to the team on market demands and client preferences to influence service offerings.


Ideally you will have:

  • Proven experience in business development from a digital agency.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong track record of winning proposals and delivering high-quality pitches to senior stakeholders.
  • Client-centric mindset, with an ability to understand client needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple opportunities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, results-driven attitude.
  • Familiarity with the nonprofit and charity sector is a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, proposal software, and presentation tools (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides).
