Location: Stratford, London Office-based with high flexibility (1-2 days per week in the office)

We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated administrator to join our commercial partnerships business operations team, to support with general admin with a strong focus on patent administration.
About The Team
The Commercial Partnerships Business Operations team sits within Cancer Research Horizons (CRH), Cancer Research UK’s innovation engine. CRH seeks to bring to life new drugs and technologies to fight cancer, that come from the ideas generated by academic research funded by CRUK.
The Commercial Partnerships (CP) team is responsible for the commercialisation of cutting-edge innovations, creating the pathway for drugs, biotech and AI to reach patients (‘technology transfer’). Working in close collaboration with colleagues in both Finance and CP, the Business Operations team plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Cancer Research Horizons adopts an insight-led and data-driven approach to the translation of these cutting-edge innovations. As an administrator within the team you provide administrative and data support enabling the team and CP more broadly to function smoothly.
We are looking for candidates with an interest in learning more about commercialisation of intellectual property (IP), who have a willingness to learn and can-do attitude. You don’t need experience within the sector, but you do need top notch admin skills, strong communication skills and enjoy working on a variety of projects at one time
What will I be doing?
Provide overall administration support for the Business Operations team. Tasks include:
Supporting on Patent team administration activities and data audits, such as;- Managing the group inbox and internal and external stakeholder expectations.
- Logging and filing correspondence, and coordinating responses between internal teams and external IP counsel
- Creating and maintaining records for patent and trademark filings, and other forms of IP in CRH’s IP management system (Minuet), ensuring accurate entry of key dates, statuses, and associated documentation.
- Supporting finance processes including creating receivables, invoice generation, purchase orders, patent fees and new supplier set up
- Supporting with archiving IP documents both physical and electronic
- Any other tasks that are needed to support the good functioning of the administration of the Business Operations team.

- Proven ability to work to a high standard with an eye for detail, working under own initiative and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Willingness to support colleagues in a range of work
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programmes,
