The Sales Executive will be responsible for growing and supporting business to business clients across the United Kingdom. Providing a consultative service, you will be responsible for attracting new clients and advising them on energy efficient business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and manage yourself to produce a productive and effective output of data and appointments via bold and cold-calling
- Outbound phone calls to potential customers to promote company products and services in line with customer requirements
- Sell services over the phone and arrange face-to-face meetings with potential customers to ensure achievement of sales targets
- Recognise and seek opportunities to up/cross-sell additional products and services that the business offers
- Pro-actively build, manage, and maintain relationships with clients via face-to-face meetings
- Operate and effectively manage our CRM database with all customer contact and information ensuring accurate records are maintained
- Keep abreast of developments within the water and utility services markets, provide clients with accurate market information, and share new industry knowledge with colleagues.
- Research and prepare information for prospect meetings to identify their requirements to assist with closing the sale
- Review your own sales performance, ensuring your and the company’s targets are met or exceeded
- Attend external seminars and conferences as and when required
- Participate in ongoing training and development and regular performance reviews
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the company
- Adhere to Company and department standards, policies, and procedures to attain and maintain the required competency level to perform the role and to promote a culture where customers are treated fairly, with openness and honesty

- You must ensure strong relationships are maintained with colleagues inside and outside of the business, including but not limited to –
- New and existing customers
- Close working relationship with other members of your department

Essential
Person specification (Background and skills):
- Previous experience of business to business selling, including business development is essential
- Self-motivated and driven
- Willingness to travel across the UK is essential
- Ability to build strong, long-lasting professional relationships
- Experience of driving sales and new business initiatives
Desirable
- Good understanding of the UK energy and water management markets is desirable
