Miryco Consultants are working with an exciting Investment Manager looking for a Credit Analyst to join their team. You will have responsibility for performing credit analysis on existing and new investment opportunities with a focus on RMBS and/or CLO/ABS structured finance/structured credit instruments, monitoring and assigning internal credit ratings, and developing internal credit rating methodologies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating and challenging existing and new investments proposed by the asset origination team from a risk perspective with a focus on more RMBS and/or CLO/ABS structured instruments;
- Monitoring and assigning internal credit ratings, developing internal credit methodologies and rating models. While the focus is expected to be on more structured financings, the role will also require a very good understanding of corporate or project finance type of credit analysis and rating analysis;
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including the asset and trading origination team, the risk team or senior management.
Required:
- The successful candidate will have 2+ years of relevant experience in one of RMBS and/or CLO/ABS.
- 2:1 or above in a scientific/numerical degree from a leading university.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a high level of proficiency in Excel/VBA.
- Financial modelling skills preferred.
- A background in a Ratings Agency or Asset Management is preferred.
Location: London
Salary: Very competitive package + good bonus
