Description
We are The Hire Place UK, part of the Places for People Group; we are looking for a Cabin Maintenance Operative (Handyperson/Multi Skilled Operative) to provide a high quality and efficient maintenance service, preparing site cabins for hire, maintenance, and repairs on hiring sites in Merstham, Surrey.

On site work , and occasionally working away for short periods are also a part of this role.

More About Your Role

You will be carrying out maintenance and repairs to individual site cabins. You'll undertake pre-delivery and off-hire inspections, carry out repairs and maintenance.

This role has a start date of Monday April 7th (or later).

Your core activities will include:

  • Painting & decorating
  • Installation of fixtures and fittings
  • Cleaning and renovating
  • Flat roof repairs (basic preparation of metal and applying seals and coatings).
  • Collection of materials and equipment as required from suppliers.

Desirable (not essential) skills include:

  • Basic plumbing
  • Basic electrics
  • Testing and Inspection of the above

The ideal candidate should:

  • Possess a broad range of practical skills.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Have the ability to complete paperwork quickly, neatly and accurately.
  • Have an attention to detail.

Support and assistance are provided, and those displaying the necessary ability and commitment will have opportunities to progress.

A Full Drivers Licence Is Essential.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm.
