We are looking for a Carbon Manager to join our Building team, to assist in the delivery of customer expectations on carbon measurement and reduction in CO2 emissions to drive our leadership position in carbon reduction.

Established in the UK in 2000, Skanska has more than 3,300 local experts delivering projects across sectors including real estate, defence, education, highways, rail and water. Our Building team have created inspiring places to work including Norton Folgate in London and Unity Place in Swindon.

This is a key role in driving our carbon data improvement ambitions into our projects to achieve alignment and consistency, whilst providing specialist support across pre-construction and construction stages.

What you'll do:

  • Provide prioritised carbon reduction technical support to bids and other work winning initiatives, as appropriate to resources, time and importance
  • Collaborate on and coordinate the development, update and delivery of the Building carbon data improvement plan, including achieving consistency and efficiency of carbon data and measurement across all projects
  • Support the collation, continuous development and sharing of our low carbon solutions
  • Provide carbon reduction technical support to Building, particularly in respect of carbon data and tools, in coordination with the Head of Environment Technical Director
  • Support Building in the development, maintenance and updating of carbon forecasting and reporting, against targets, including carbon dashboards

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Experience / competence in embodied carbon assessment methods, reporting standards and guidance, and their applicability across the Building sector, including the RICS Whole Life Carbon approach
  • Experience / competence in delivering carbon reduction solutions for customers during the design and construction phases
  • Analytical, data and process driven mindset
  • Demonstrable passion and commitment for sustainability, carbon reduction and environmental outcomesn
