We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Category Analyst to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the wider business with data-driven insights to enhance strategic decision-making, optimise retail execution, and drive category growth. The successful candidate will be the go-to expert for market, shopper and competitor analysis, providing actionable recommendations through clear reporting and collaboration.
Key stakeholders will include a direct relationship with multiple internal functions within the business such as Brand, Commercial, RGM and Visual Merchandising. In this role you will…
- Manage and maintain regular reporting including divisional market share reports using tools such as Nielsen and IRI.
- Create and maintain dashboards, pricing tools, and other analytical resources using Excel and Power BI.
- Deliver accurate and timely data pulls, providing consumer and shopper insights along with business recommendations in order to support brand and commercial strategies.
- Conduct deep-dive competitor analysis, focusing on key factors such as claims, shopper trends, audience targeting, and product dynamics.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects, often cross-divisionally, providing key data support and market understanding.
- Lead and support retailer load-ups, liaising with brand teams, retailers and visual merchandising to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product display information.
- Continuously improve tools and ways of working to drive efficiency, accuracy and clarity in reporting and analysis.

- Have GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C (4, or equivalent)
