We are recruiting a Assistant Catering manager to assist in the running of The refectory at Ballard House, West Hoe road, Plymouth
You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our refectory, will be approachable, passionate about customer service, delivering a high standard food and drink offer, creating a welcoming atmosphere and have an eye for detail.
Duties Will Include
Serving a selection of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, salads, soups, hot breakfast items and pasties as well as a small selection of snacks.
Ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere for the customers and overall staff network.
Maintain high standard of Food safety controls.
Monitor stock control
Supervise refectory staff, ensuring they adhere to great customer service, food safety guidelines and company procedures.
Training for the positions will be given by the Food, Beverage & Hospitality Manager and the overarching Catering Manager and through our bespoke online training program.
Requirements
Knowledge of food safety procedures and best practices
Experience in working in a Hospitality / Café setting, including buffets
Great customer service skills
Ability to multitask and work in a busy environment
Great communication and interpersonal skills
The posts require lone working at times.

Working Hours
Weekday 0800am -3.00pm
Please be aware that there is a minimum age restriction to all CATERed positions of 18 years old. As you would work with industrial machinery this is a legal requirement for insurance purposes.
