Job Title: Catering Assistant
Salary: £21,900-£25,950 per annum
Location: Cambridge, Whittlesford (on occasion) - On site, with availability required across all shift patterns (07:00–14:30, 07:30–15:00, 08:00–15:30, 09:00–16:30)
Contract: Full time, permanent (35 hours per week)

About The Role
As a Catering Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our hospitality service- preparing food, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring every customer interaction is a positive one.
This is a hands-on, customer facing role where no two days are the same. You'll work across our catering areas and events, supporting a team that's known for its warmth, professionalism, and dedication to excellence.
Please note: To be considered, you must be available to work across all shift patterns listed above.
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering excellent customer service and high-quality food presentation.
- Supporting food preparation and maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Operating tills and cashless systems.
- Assisting with hospitality events and ensuring consistency across all catering services.
- Complying with food safety, health and safety, and internal policies.
About You
As a Catering Assistant, you'll be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for customer service. Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience in a high-volume catering or hospitality environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A Level 2 Food hygiene qualification (or willingness to obtain within 1 month)
- Good understanding of food safety standards
