Site Manager
Salary £34,000-£42,000 pa, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Site Manager to join our Bristol team, transitioning to our brand-new Avonmouth site when it opens in April 2025. In this role, you’ll take charge of the day-to-day operations, leading a team of drivers and administrative staff while ensuring smooth efficient site management.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the implementation of all necessary checks and controls to maintain the safety and reliability of the fleet. This includes compliance with CPC requirements, RTD/WTD regulations, accurate tachograph record-keeping, and adherence to maintenance schedules.
- Safety is our highest priority. The Site Leader must understand and apply all relevant legislation and standards, work collaboratively with internal specialists, and liaise with regulatory authorities. Ensuring robust security measures for property and products is critical. The role also requires availability as an emergency call-out key holder and prompt response to emergencies when needed.
- Apply a thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, safety protocols, quality procedures, and site operational guidelines to effectively perform all responsibilities.
- Ensure the site under your supervision complies with both company policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Focus on customer satisfaction in every decision made. Provide employees with thorough training and the necessary resources to deliver outstanding customer service in all areas of the cylinder business.
- Plan and manage the training and development of on-site staff, ensuring their professional growth. Carry out performance reviews in line with company guidelines.
Do you have?
- Demonstrated experience in effective people management and leadership.
- Proven ability to manage and allocate resources efficiently, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company service levels, while utilising KPIs to track and enhance performance.
- Strong understanding of current transport regulations and directives, ensuring compliance with all legal and operational requirements.
- Experience in a management or supervisory role within a service-oriented environment, with a preference for candidates with financial management experience.
- Strong understanding of current employment legislation and regulations.
- IT literate
- ADR certificate / Experience of Hazardous goods preferred
- Formal safety qualification preferred, (IOSHH, NEBOSH)
- Management CPC preferable
