About The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a CDM & Temporary Works Manager to join our team delivering electrical power projects at transmission and distribution voltage levels. Focusing on ensuring our projects remain in compliance with the Health and Safety (Construction, Design and Management) Regulations 2015 through each stage of Delivery. This will include compliance with the respective CDM duty holder requirements including Principal Designer and Principal Contractor for creating procedures, documentation and undertaking assurance on small to large-scale high voltage infrastructure and grid connections at voltage levels normally between 11kV and 132kV.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio accountability to ensure each project is delivered to compliance with CDM regulations and Health and Safety Legislation, including; collaborating with the solutions team to ensure meticulous consideration of temporary works for all tenders.
- Assessing and documenting approvals of the temporary works on a project-by-project basis.
- Act as point of escalation for the customer and the company for Health & Safety and Construction Design Management both during tendering and implementing current and future projects.
- Ensuring individuals in roles of responsibility are suitably competent and well-equipped for project delivery.
- Operate across the whole of the delivery team as a Health & Safety lead, responsible for ensuring delivery compliance of our sub-contractors.
- Maintaining policy, commissioning & testing systems for data, document, and process control, in compliance with ISO standards.
- Provide excellent customer service through clear communication and meeting customer expectations such as; working in the safest manner, only accepting high quality work, achieving customer milestones and outperforming contract budgets.
- Promote the company’s reputation through a positive attitude and behaviours, good time keeping and a professional appearance.
- Continually seek to identify future sales opportunities either providing sales leads to the business development team and/or supporting estimators in the pricing and drafting of sales tenders.
Who We Are Looking For
- NEBOSH Diploma or NEBOSH Construction Certificate Level 4; (essential).
- Trained and experienced in design and implementation of Temporary Works solutions.
- At least five years of relevant experience of client and sub-contractor Health and Safety management and co-ordination.
- Detailed knowledge of health and safety legislation including the CDM Regulations.
- Working knowledge of ISO certified business management systems (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001).
- Experience in developing Pre-Construction Information Plans.
- Experience in developing Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans.
- Experience in compiling Health and Safety Files.
- Experience in delivering construction related assurance programs.
- Experienced at implementing quality & assurance strategies and process change.
- Hold IOSH or APS professional accreditation; (essential).
- Be an excellent written and verbal communicator, with experience in the developing and delivering management reports, business presentations and safety briefings; (essential).
- Self-motivated and able to drive behaviour to motivate others.
- Hold a valid, full UK driving licence; (essential).
