Role: Centre Assessment Lead

Location: London Office (4 days a week in the office)

Hours: Full-time (37.5hrs)

Salary: £28k -£30k

About The Role

Our Head of Delivery is looking for a dynamic CIPD professional with a commitment to process, practice and high standards in assessment and quality to support with assessment and quality developments and operations on our CIPD programmes.

Equally importantly, you will align with our organisational values, which were defined by our people for our people, clients, learners, and partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and report on cases and investigations regarding quality of learner work and assessment, such as academic malpractice and grading appeals
  • Standardisation of delivery within the Academy undertaking scheduled OTLA’s (formal and informal) of our delivery team, providing reports and action plans where necessary
  • Be part of standardisation events and meetings including, considering wider processes such as IQA, CIPD moderation, CIPD updates ensuring the standardisation process adds measurable value to the centre
  • Reviewing assessment quality and delivering on actions and training as and when necessary to ensure our assessment practice remains compliant with CIPD and an outstanding service.
  • Actively engage in recruitment of external assessors and IQA’s as and when necessary, providing robust training.
  • Lead development of up-to-date training materials for all centre customers
  • Monitor the quality KPIs across programmes and review as needed to ensure success and achievement of our learners
  • Participate in Continual Professional Development (CPD) and actively encourage productive participation in CPD for all members of the Professional Qualifications team
  • Support on the development of writing and implementation of new assessment briefs, materials and content for all programmes leading the implementation on the Hub (learning platform)
  • Support the Head of Delivery, ensuring the operational QIP is updated and shared with the relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure communications and interventions are implemented proactively
  • Familiarisation of all processes undertaken by the Assessment team


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of Assessment and Quality practices
  • CIPD Associate membership (desirable)
  • Industry experience in a relevant field
  • Experience of academic marking and assessment
  • A recognised teaching or assessing qualification (desirable)
  • Prior experience of supporting programmes online would be desirable
