Description
Do you want to gain experience in Primrose Oncology Unit and are you willing to work hard to maintain excellent nursing care? An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Chemotherapy Nurse to work in the Chemotherapy suite in the Primrose Unit.

The post holder will be responsible for administering and caring for patients receiving systemic anti-cancer treatment along with delivering high standards of specialist cancer and palliative care within the Macmillan Primrose Unit at Bedford Hospital NHS Trust.

We are looking for someone ready for a new challenge with good listening skills, a empathetic nature, excellent communicator and who is not afraid of hard work.

Key Responsibilities Are

  • To provide specialised nursing care. To demonstrate a high standard of practice in assessing, implementing and evaluating patient care.
  • The post holder will administer cytotoxic chemotherapy and related treatments following appropriate training
  • Supervise and support junior staff, students and health care assistants and work as part of a multi professional cancer care team
